What is it all about?

Coral Stars first launched on September 17th 2006. Back then it functioned as an online shop selling a mixture of handmade and vintage goods. After a number of changes, I opted to transform and develop the website into a blog, with a small shop on the side. I had blogged for one year under the identity of Fashion Dummy prior to that, but decided to make a fresh start on this blog by moving away from purely fashion based posts, toward a mixture of art, craft and style based posts.

I love almost every aspect of running this website. From getting nitty gritty with coding, to writing up posts; but best of all, is the interaction blogging provides with my dear readers. Coral Stars lives to serve as a place for my witterings, creative experiments and other things of that ilk. I welcome any comments and suggestions you may have to make the site even better!

So… who runs this thing?!

That would be me, Leah! I’m a 17 year old currently living in Birmingham, England. It’s not my favourite place in the world and I dream of escaping to live by the sea or somewhere with hills… someday that may happen! I’m a creative type and spend my time day dreaming of artistic endeavours - writing, drawing, sewing, knitting, photography… you name it, I’ll try it.

Since the age of 10, I have wanted to design and make clothes for a living, whether I accomplish this remains to be seen. However, I am currently in my last year of A-levels and intend to pursue a career in art & design in the future… so hope is not lost yet!
