Remixer of the ’30s
As a occasional participant of wardrobe remix (I would take more outfit snaps, except that I have to wear a ‘uniform‘ virtually everyday and then on the weekends, I never seem to get round to taking photos… I should try and rectify this) I was thrilled to find these photos from the 1930s on Clever Nettle - a 1930s girl documenting her daily attire in the style of a remixer!

I shalln’t bother with any commentary because Anja does a fabulous job on Clever Nettle as it is. But I shall say, that this inspires me to make more effort at documenting my own outfits. I bet this girl didn’t think for one second when she was taking these photos that people she’d never meet, from all over the world, would be sharing & enjoying her wonderful outfits!

Leave a commentThese are fabulous - I love the hood on the coat in the pic of her leaning on the car bonnet. Gorgeous.
I’ve awarded you an “I love your blog” award - because, y’know, I love reading your blog! If you want to hand it on, deets are on my blog, if not just enjoy basking in the glory!

Oh wow. These are wonderful. I love the high-waisted shorts and the coat.

I know, they’re just fabulous! It makes me feel kind of proud (in a weird way) that the notion to document outfits is nothing new and I’m really not bizarre for wanting to do so.

I wish more people did that back then. I pore over old photos constantly. I dream of finding a stash of 30s / 40s ones in a junk shop one day, but I just don’t seem to have the knack.
