Remixd: Charity shopping & afternoon tea

22.08.08

I have succeeded in putting up 2 outfit posts in a week. If I manage another one, then we’ll be on a record for me! Well… I have been in a good mood, which translates as dressing/feeling better & actually getting round to taking a photo.

  • Floral print shirt: hand-me-down
  • Dark salmon cardigan: handmade by grandmother
  • Denim skirt: vero moda
  • Tights: ?
  • Black boots: vintage shop
  • Handbag: vintage shop
  • Heart necklace: dorothy perkins

Plus, I’ll be back to the school dress code soon enough, so I’d best make the most of it!

Today started more or less like any other day - oversleeping, having breakfast & generally dossing. On a spur of the moment this afternoon, I decided to go charity shopping. And to my favourite charity shop section within the area of Birmingham in which I live. These shops are yet to let me down! Anyway, I bought a few shoes, a dress & a skirt. Most of it is in preparation for the etsy shop (more details later!) but I’m keeping one pair of shoes. I shall do a latest finds post soon enough & include them!

After that, I visited my grandmother for afternoon tea. My aunt is cleaning out the attic room there, so I was bestowed with many a treasure! Craft treasures that is. I have wool, old clothes (which will be refashioned), sewing patterns, knitting patterns, threads, fabric scraps & old jewellery. I left with two bags - black bin bag sized! I am filled with glee now…
